Fairfield, IA - hawthorne direct, the direct response TV advertising agency, has expanded its presence on the west coast by adding media and account service personnel to its existing Los Angeles office. With its corporate offices located in the Midwest, hawthorne direct 's full service staff in Los Angeles will handle new business development, account management, creative and production and media buying services. hawthorne direct’s Western regional office is located at 6500 Wilshire Boulevard, which was established five years ago to handle creative and production services.
The full-service office will allow hawthorne direct to network face-to-face with existing, new and prospective clients, business partners and TV station sales representatives on the West Coast.
Timothy R. Hawthorne, Founder, Chairman and Executive Creative Director of hawthorne direct said, “With an increasing number of clients on the West coast, it has become necessary to add personnel to our hawthorne direct Western regional office. Our goal within the next 12-18 months is to add as many as 20 people to our LA office."
The newest addition to the Los Angeles extension of hawthorne direct is Jason Graves, Vice President of New Business Development. Graves is responsible for developing new business opportunities for hawthorne direct in the areas of: creative/production, long and short form media, tape duplication, telemarketing and fulfillment management and integrated marketing opportunities. He also serves as an account director for new and existing clients.
His former experience includes serving as the senior account executive of In-Finn-Ity for two years. Primary responsibilities included bringing in new business and fulfilling all marketing functions. Prior to this Jason acted as the agency producer for Williams Television Time, overseeing all video production. For five years, before producing for Williams, he was the Executive Vice President for Pantron I. His duties at Patron I included product development and executive producing for the company. Graves also served as Marketing Manger at United Business Interiors and as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for White and Associates.
Graves arrived in the western regional office, from the hawthorne direct Midwest regional office, at the heels of Jeff Copsey, Media Buyer. Less than one year ago, Jeff Copsey joined the hawthorne direct media buying team.
Copsey, formerly client operations manager and media buyer for Williams Worldwide, was named media buyer for hawthorne direct. His responsibilities involve purchasing and managing media. Copsey specializes in long and short form direct response buying. His broadcast markets include Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
Graves and Copsey join Perri Feuer, Vice President and Creative Director and Juliet Wendell Brown, Producer. Feuer and Wendell Brown have been working in the hawthorne direct western regional office for over five years.
Feuer is a former New York creative director and award-winning writer for several advertising agencies including Doyle Dane Bernbach and DMB&B and specializes in creating unique, competitive positions for products and corporations. In her 20 years of advertising, Feuer has launched successful campaigns for Fortune 500 clients such as Amtrak, Clairol, GTE, Hershey, IBM, Michelin, Procter and Gamble and Weight Watchers.
Wendell Brown’s responsibilities include organizing all elements of long and short form creative and production, from script writing, pre-production, production to post-production. She coordinates all related talent procedures. Her most recent project, as producer, was for the creation of, “Nikon’s Grand Adventures” infomercial for Nikon U.S.A. She was previously with Eastman Kodak in the placement department. Prior to her position at Eastman Kodak, she worked for Ray Charles Enterprises, coordinating his concert performances.
