hawthorne direct to roll out DRTV campaign for Minnesota based Wedgewood Golf Inc.

Fairfield, IA - hawthorne direct, the direct response TV advertising agency, to roll out a direct response television campaign for Minnesota based Wedgewood Golf Inc. Mayhew Breen Productions was responsible for the DRTV creative/production for Wedgewood Golf’s unique approach shot golf club. The long-form direct response campaign for Wedgewood is being managed by hawthorne direct. The infomercial is now ramping up for full roll out.

Wedgewood Golf is a Minnesota – based company that designs, manufactures and markets a proprietary line of Wedgewood Golf® clubs specifically designed for hitting approach shots from virtually any lie. The clubs can literally be described as a “marriage between an iron and a wood” designed to hit the ball higher and straighter with more backspin. They have the accuracy and stopping action of a wedge, combined with the power and forgiveness of a wood. Wedgewoods are designed and manufactured using a new hybrid golf technology process that fuses together key properties of traditional irons and woods, all conforming to USGA rules.

Wedgewoods come in four different lofts and all clubs conform to USGA rules: The Wedge is a 44-degree loft and is equivalent to a 9-iron or pitching wedge. The Short is a 38-degree loft and is equivalent to a 7- or 8-iron. The Mid is a 30-degree loft and is equivalent to a 5- or 6-iron. And the Long is a 22-degree loft and is equivalent to a 3- or 4-iron. The Wedgewoods shafts are available in both steel and graphite. They may be specially ordered for men and women who are right or left handed.

All four clubs help golfers consistently hit high, accurate, soft shots from distances usually reserved for the 3-iron through pitching wedge.
