The infomercial explains that the “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” program is not a magic money method nor real-estate deal but is based upon a set of fundamental wealth-building principles applicable to the viewer’s real world, principles that can be learned by anyone regardless of income or socio-economic station. The infomercial promises that the program will instruct buyers on three primary principles: 1) How to think like the rich, 2) How to learn what the rich know, and 3) How to do what the rich do. The infomercial is hosted by the author of the program, Robert Kiyosaki, and Tom Jourdan. The long-form commercial offers a 352-page binder, 12 audiocassettes or CDs, bonus video, bonus audio, bonus debt-eliminator calculator, and free three-month subscription to Money magazine.
