hawthorne direct Promotes Michael Smith to the Position of Video Editor

Fairfield, IA - hawthorne direct, the direct response TV advertising agency, is pleased to announce they have recently promoted Michael Smith to the position of video editor. Smith was previously an assistant video editor.

Smith has been with hawthorne direct for nearly five years. He came to hawthorne direct from TCI (Des Moines, Iowa) where he was a video producer and editor. Smith worked on broadcast advertising and non-broadcast projects. He produced and edited commercials and educational, training and corporate training tapes. Prior to his employment at TCI, Smith was a freelance editor. Smith also worked for Terry Butz Creative (Waterloo, Iowa) where he worked on the Pontiac general advertising account.

Smith stays abreast of all cutting edge technologies by attending industry-sponsored workshops (i.e. DV Magazine Exposition California), reading trade publications and by working daily with the latest equipment on the market.

He will continue working from hawthorne direct’s home office in Fairfield, Iowa.
