The You Can Tan infomercial introduces the Tan Mist Sunless Tanning System, the new way to get a natural-looking, spray-on tan that takes seconds to apply and lasts for days.

Hosted by model Cindy Margolis in a pool side setting, the viewer sees pale bikini-clad women and men whose bodies are transformed by this sunless spray tanning system. The show features testimonials from real people, demonstrates the product and explains clearly how it works. It’s drip-free, non-aerosol, non-greasy, non-drying, nontoxic, odor-free and safe.

Graphics and animation show how the tanning solution penetrates the top layers of your skin, and reacts with your body’s own chemistry to naturally give your skin a golden glow. Three different people demonstrate the three different tan shades that are offered – light, medium and dark. And three sets of twins are used to compare the Tan Mist system tan against a “real” suntan, a tanning bed and a popular self-tanning cream/lotion.

The ASTRID Awards are given to creators and producers of design communications in recognition of creativity and excellence in design. Now in its 14th year, the ASTRID Awards honor the best in corporate design in 26 categories. Over 400 entries from 17 countries around the world were reviewed and evaluated by the panels of judges and advisors.
