• Forbes has just published a new survey: “Forbes’ 30 Under 30” revealing, among other things, media consumption habits and preferences of young superstars in business, finance and investment. Among the most interesting findings:
  • Social media platform preference: Facebook (28%), Instagram (25%), Twitter (23%), LinkedIn (17%) and Snapchat (6%).
  • Main source for news: news sites (70%), social media (61%), apps/email (26%), print (24%), TV (19%)
  • Content type shared most often: business-related (51%), personal photos/info (48%), news (47%)
  • Mobile consumption activities: short articles (61%), music (60%), videos (53%), long articles (50%), podcasts (36%)
  • Video consumption device: mobile (45%), desktops or laptops (44%)
  • Most-popular video category: news (64%), viral videos (45%), in-depth interviews (40%), family/friend videos (23%) and live events/product reviews/tutorials (23%)
  • Interestingly, 36% of these movers and shakers are inclined sometimes to recommend products, 28% do so often, and 16% very frequently.
